Selena Gomez glowed on the red (or should we say orange) carpet at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, March 31, 2012. The "Wizards of Waverly Place" darling bared her midriff in a two-piece Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. The starlet was sporting a fresh tan from her work on the set of Spring Breakers, the movie she's been shooting for the past few weeks. The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, also known as the KCAs, is an annual stop for Hollywood stars who are popular among teenage and young viewers watching the Nickelodeon cable TV network, and this 25th anniversary is notable for the green slime that some winners are covered in. During the show, Selena Gomez was presented two awards by a slime covered "Glee" actor Chris Colfer and supermodel Heidi Klum. The 19-year-old entertainer was named favorite female singer for her work with pop band The Scene, as well as favorite TV actress in the "Wizards of Waverly Place," which ended its run on the Disney Channel three months ago.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Wears Too Much Makeup in IPO Video

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was derided for wearing too much makeup in the company’s IPO video.

In the social network’s IPO video, Mark looked bizarre with a large amount of white eye makeup. Twitter users pointed out the problem. Large white circles are clearly visible around Facebook CEO’s eyes. Internet users also criticized him for the odd white makeup. Meanwhile, a Google+  user said the circles could just be tan lines from wearing sunglasses. It has been claimed that Mark Zuckerberg is an amateur when it comes to makeup.

RIM Launches BlackBerry 10 Platform

VT1 (RIM) disclosed its vision for the long–awaitedBlackBerry 10 platform at the BlackBerry World conference in Orlando. The company has set out for itself in delivering the new platform.

Some new key features were demonstrated, including keyboard and gesture. The touch-based keyboard is perhaps the most shocking. Buttons are large and swipe gestures can be used to pull up symbols and numbers. RIM plans to integrate gesture controls into BB10. For instance, users can answer or reject calls by performing a long press then swiping up or down. The phone has been improved with the cameral software. Users can touch anywhere on a photo to go back in time after snapping it. The Waterloo-headquartered multinational telecommunications company is distributing a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device to help developers get started on the platform. This testing unit will support the developer community by proving necessary tools to build applications for BB10 devices. "Developers building for BlackBerry 10 will be able to easily create the kind of cutting-edge apps that deliver truly engaging experiences and ‘wow’ customers,” said Alec Saunders, vice president of Developer Relations and Ecosystems Development at RIM.

Research In Motion aimed to reserve huge market-share losses to Google Inc’s VT2 and VT3. The Waterloo-headquartered company is starting from scratch with its next-generation BlackBerry 10.

BlackBerry 10 has touch-sensitive frame which allows users to swipe to call up a menu.

Perhaps, RIM made its most crucial launch in its history this year.

The new on-screen VT4 offers predictive next word suggestions.

BlackBerry 10 platform will be compatible with few of the applications available for its existing phones.

The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha has a 4.2-inch touchscreen at a resolution of 1,280 by 768 pixels and Micro USB for charging and debugging.

Some features of the BlackBerry 10 operating system running on a prototype device were revealed.

Sunday, July 22, was quite the big day for Selena Gomez as the brunette beauty bid farewell to her teenage years and turned 20 years old. To celebrate her venture into young adulthood, the “Love You Like a Love Song” songstress opted to spend her special day at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.

Selena Gomez was picture perfect in pink as she arrived at the Gibson Amphitheatre for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. The just turned 22-year-old strutted her stuff in a slinky Dsquared2 magenta dress and white Herve Leger heels. Her fit-and-flare frock perfectly matched the pink carpet at the Gibson Amphitheatre. Miss Gomez balanced the high-wattage hue and sexy footwear with long, straightened locks, smokey eye makeup and minimal jewelry. The “Hit the Lights” songstress was nominated for three awards including Choice Single by a Group, Choice Music Group and Choice Female Hottie. She scooped the prize for Choice Music Group with her band The Scene.

Selena was nominated for three awards on the show and took home a surfboard for Choice Music Group.

"This is the best birthday present ever," Gomez said after she was presented with her Teen Choice surfboard. When the pop star stepped on stage to accept the award on behalf of her band Selena & The Scene, she was surprised with a birthday cake and a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday” from the Teen Choice Awards’ audience.

Selena Gomez received cupcakes topped with glowing sparklers for her to blow out.

The birthday girl even hit the stage to help present an award with actress Zooey Deschanel.

Hosted by Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale, the 2012 Teen Choice Awards featured performances by Selena's boyfriend, Justin Bieber, as well as No Doubt, Flo Rida and Carly Rae Jepsen. The cast of "The Twilight Saga" turned out to be big winners of the night Sunday, taking home ultimate choice, the Teen Choice Awards' lifetime achievement honor. Other winners included Ellen DeGeneres, Taylor Swift, Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus, Josh Hutcherson and the cast of The Vampire Diaries.
